The Integra-IT Hong Kong Limited Consultant Team have completed an 11 month engagement with an international Investment Bank culminating in the successful and problem free migration of ~900 users in Hong Kong by the Integra-IT IMAC Team. The engagement which commenced in March 2008 initially with two consultants running end-to-end Programme and Project Management of the entire technology stream including initial infrastructure design, RFPs, procurement, build and deployment and concluded with the migration of 900 users between two landmark Hong Kong buildings. Later in the project, two additional Consultants joined the team to project manage the Dealer Voice stream of work through to completion in February 2009. The overall Technology Programme Management project was led by Terry Evans alongside Senior Infrastructure Engineer Geoff Tayler, both recent arrivals from Japan where they worked on the NikkoCiti Group relocation of 1700 users from Akasaka Park to Shin Marunouchi Building. The scope of work included:
The project ran to extremely tight timescales with a very compressed fit out schedule across six floors during Q4-2008 however testing and commissioning of the structured cabling, LAN, MAN, Wireless and Dealer Voice solutions ran exactly to our schedule with zero user impact to live systems during the network and voice integration phase. Integra-IT ran the Master From:To scheduling for the programme of technology relocations that took place over five weekends in December, January and February. The Integra-IT IMAC Team won the competitive bid to do the disconnect, relocation and reconnect of all technology equipment including movement of around 1400 PCs, 2500 screens, 70 printers between buildings. The project drew to a close for technology streams in February 2009 following a seamless migration of users and technology to the new space. |
