Deskside Support Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a Property Management Corporation, is seeking a Deskside Support Engineer to join their team in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end users via phone, email and on-site in different offices. 
  • Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems for end users, recommend and implement corrective solutions.  
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot workstations and peripherals. 
  • Follow up the status of all outstanding support cases and e-mail to update the status of their requests/incidents. 
  • Assist in user training on new applications or devices.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of solid experience with desktop/ IT support.
  • Strong technical skill in Windows XP/ 7, Microsoft Office 2003/ 2007/ 2010, Sharepoint.
  • Familiar with handheld devices and printer setup. 
  • Knowledge and support of Bitlocker encryption tool advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Window servers, VPN & NAS will be preferred.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
  • Initiative and customer oriented.
  • Ability to follow documentation.
