Trading Floor Support Manager

Job Description

Our client, a Chinese Investment Bank, is seeking a Trading Floor Support Manager to join their team in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·           Support Fidessa trading system, experience with Fidessa ATP is a plus.

·           Support FIX connection on-boarding, tests and maintenance.

·           Support end users on complex technical and functional application issues including FO, MO, BO, Product Controls, and Risk.

·           Respond to end users within timeframe dictated by the severity of the problem, document and track (case histories, issues, and action steps).

·           Research technical processes using sources such as error logs and product technical documentation and identify solutions to resolve problems or improve efficiency.

·           Timely reporting of production and project status to client and IT management.

·           Help supervise a team of IT trading desk supports to ensure the trading system operating smoothly.

·           Work closely with various groups, particularly technical teams, to resolve system issues.

·           Partner with development teams on release management.

·           Managing all significant issues and risks and escalating as necessary.

·           Effectively manage the Client Relationship with the end user community

·           Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements, documentation of support run book

 

  Requirements:

 

·           At least 5 years experience in trading systems in Investment Bank or Securities Companies.

·           Experience with managing and troubleshooting the Fidessa trading system is a MUST. Worked with Fidessa or in Fidessa is preferred.

·           Intensive experience in the front to back business flow of Asian Sales and Trading business and trading platform like OMS, DMA, Basket Trading, Exchange Connectivity, Bloomberg, Excel VBA.

·           Hands-on experience on FIX connections, including testing and maintenance is a MUST.

·           Hands-on experience on ALGO is preferred, including performance monitoring and trouble shooting.

·           In-depth knowledge in cash equity related trading system administration.

·           Exposure to the post trade processing (i.e. trade capture, allocation, pre-confirmation, booking) is preferred.

·           Demonstrated experience with professional business process analysis tools and techniques.

·           Proven experience with professional requirements and change managements tools and techniques.

·           Effective time management and strong organizational skills, with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.

·           Good written and verbal skills in English and Chinese, Mandarin will be a plus.

·           Bachelor degree or above, majored in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or finance related majors.
